How To Look At Life

What is life, and what is its purpose? There is something everyone can agree on about life: it is very hard. It can be challenging to navigate at times when you have had so much hit you all at once. We have all been in seasons like this. In these seasons, it seems as if a lot is going on. So much that seems out of your control. So many things that you would have chosen differently.

These seasons are not unknown to God, though. I have sat in moments and wondered, 'Why?' Just why? That is all I could think of. Why did that person walk away? Why can that person not see my heart? Why did that have to happen when I had done everything I could to prevent it from happening? It is mind-boggling in the moment. In these moments, a cloud seems to surround a person. It's so thick that you can not see or feel anything but the emotions that grip you. It makes you numb. For me, it makes me want to hide in the corner.

As I write this, I am writing from experience, but praise God, I am in a good place. As believers, other people need to know that they are not alone. That is why testimonies are so important. That is why we are here. It is to connect with others and spread the light. Let people know that the struggle is not for nothing. This life is not for nothing, even though it is hard. Even though you would not choose all scenarios that come up.

Just as the death of Jesus is not ideal, it was used mightily. Where Satan thought he had killed the Savior, he brought to life a whole new belief system. He brought the Holy Spirit down, who could not just testify to a group of people as Jesus did, but could testify to everyone who chose to believe in

The enemy is after your life

the world at once.

In the midst of difficult situations, as believers, we can choose to remain steadfast in our faith and in God's will. We can let anything that stands against the character of God die and allow His faith system to take hold. As we do this, we can see the same power that raised Jesus from the dead and changed the world forever come alive in our lives.

You think it is a coincidence that things are piling up on you as a believer. The enemy is trying to cloud your vision of the cross. He is trying to get you to look at the storm instead of the one who has already overcome. He is putting shades on your eyes so that you cannot see, think, or hear clearly. Life is hard, but we are greater than life. Our souls have the capability that the enemy does not have. To have the touch of God. To have the protection of his angelic army surrounding us.

We have the right to choose to sit and wait in faith, instead of pushing through life in dread and worry. We don't have to coward in the corner. We just need to read God's word and reflect it to the rest of the world. What makes us different in this life is our reactions to the same scenarios that others have. Our reactions and beliefs reflect the Father and allow His power to transform our lives on earth. As we reflect, we have the opportunity to help add to his family. Our family. Satan's goal is to stop this and keep you in a corner, causing turmoil and discord among us. I think it is time to break the cycle. Break his defense system down. Choose to look at life as an opportunity to join forces with the angelic army and the Holy Spirit, instead of standing on the sidelines.
