Ready, Set, Go

Ready, Set, Go. Do you remember that term back in school. This is a term that marked the beginning of a race. Meaning, you were in place and ready to take off. The adrenaline that would come at that time could feel unreal. Your heart is racing, and sometimes depending on the importance of the race, your stomach was in knots from nerves.

When God tells us to do something, that is how we feel. He may ask us to go talk to someone or a group of people. As soon as you feel the nudge from Him to get in place, you get super nervous. Your first thought is God is that really you? God you are asking the wrong person. I am not equipped to do this. I really don't want to.

When God says ready, set, go, he knows that you have it in you. He has prepared you through little task in the past up to this point. You may not have seen it, but he has. He is preparing you through this for more task in the future.

Maybe this is your first time to step out of your comfort zone because you are new in Christ. Throw off any doubt that you have. God is with you. His spirit lives inside of you. He has already prepared the words within you and the people ahead of you for what you have to say or do. Trust him.

Here is one little story. One of my favorite ones to help you realize how a little or a big task from God is so important:

There was the girl that was walking down a sidewalk and passed in front of a store front window. She felt this nudge to do a hand stand. She resisted it because it seemed so dumb. So ridiculous. So, she kept on walking. Another day she walked in front of the store with the same nudge. Again she passed it off as ridiculous. After the third or fourth time of the nudge, she finally gave in. After doing this a woman walked out of the store crying. She told the lady how she had told God, that if you are real send someone to do a handstand in front of the store.

This task seem super ridiculous. But had power and meaning behind if for one soul. Really for two souls. I can only imagine the faith and confidence the lady who did the hand stand afterwards had. Are you READY? Are you SET? Well...Go! Do the things that the Lord has prepared you for. Has prepared the way.

Hebrews 12:1  Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,
